Vineet Verma's Profile

Vineet is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer.
An ITS officer of 1997 batch of Indian Engineering Services, he belongs to Department of Telecommunications, Government of India; and is currently on deputation to BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), the largest telecom service provider of the nation.

Vineet's experience of a decade has been primarily in the field of Telecommunications.
He contributed as a research engineer in the area of Telecom Network Management Systems and Networking protocols stack development in C-DOT (Center for Development of Telematics), the country's leading indigenous Telecom Research and Development establishment founded by legendary Sam Pitroda. Thereafter he got selected for “Indian Telecom Services” in the “Ministry of telecommunications and IT” where he is serving in the area of Telecom Operations, management and training of Mobile, Data Communication and Intelligent Networks.

He is credited with the successful implementation of Intelligent network services for entire south India. He has also been instrumental in starting the first ever GSM mobile training activities in BSNL, for training BSNL officers to help maintain Mobile services operations and provisioning of value added services. A milestone in his career has been the successful implementation of “ATM (Asynchronous transfer mode) technology lab” at the South Asia's apex Telecom training center, ALTTC(Advanced Level Telecom Training Center) India, in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme Project Team.

He has been assosciated in projects with most of the leading telecom infrastructure vendors viz. Alcatel, Ericsson, Lucent, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Agilent etc. in India and trained on Intelligent networks at Alcatel University, France.

A native of Kanpur, Vineet loves to play cricket and badminton. He loves the company of people and has traversed the length and breadth of India.
