Shri Singh presently holds the post of Senior Management Grade- IV in State Bank of India and has banking experience of 16 years. Currently he is working at IT Department of Local Head Office -Guwahati with a team of 35-40 personnel and is responsible for providing IT support and implementation of Core Banking Solution at the branches.

Since joining the Bank as an Officer in 1990, he has served in India and abroad and has wide exposure to different cultures.

He had a good exposure to international foreign exchange market during his 2 years’ abroad placement at SBI's Offshore Banking Unit, Bahrain and trade finance during his tenure at commercial branch, Jaipur. Having served at various branches of Rajasthan, UP, Uttaranchal, Gurgaon and North East, he has wide experience of retail banking.

Before moving to SBI, he had a brief stint at New India Assurance Company Ltd as an Assistant Administrative Officer for 4-5 months in Mumbai.

He is life member and associate of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai.

He had gained knowledge from various in-house institutional trainings on several areas of banking each for a period ranging from one week to 12 weeks at Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.

He has a good working-knowledge of banking software such as Bankmaster, Core Banking Solution, internet banking and MS Office applications.
