Ghazala Faisal's Profile

Currently working with BSNL as Deputy General Manager, Ghazala comes from 1989 batch of Indian Telecom Services. She has more than 15 years of experience in the field of telecommunication and about 2 years of experience as faculty in engineering college prior to joining telecom.

She started her career with telecom installation projects . She had executed projects of more than 40K lines of E 10 B , EWSD technology switches and many transmission systems.

She has headed different departments of Operations, Planning, Marketing, Installation, Administration and Regulation.

She has worked as in charge of Ujjain Telecom District for about 2 years, while looking after 6 Tehsils with 6 cities and 110 rural exchanges. She launched WLL and GSM mobile at Ujjain during that period.

She recently held charge of Jt. DDG (Regulation) at BSNL Corporate Office, New Delhi. She is specialising in Marketing and Finance at IIM Indore.

Achievements :

She was the first marketing head of BSNL for Indore , when competition was first introduced in the country in Basic services at Indore. Since that was the first ever marketing activity in a Government Department she created complete infrastructure and style of functioning of the marketing department.

She faced the biggest challenge of changing the mindset of people and achieved it successfully .During that period of two years the market share of the competitor was less than 5 %.
